Magic of a Wish by Ayushi Mehrotra

A poem about magic and wishes.

Magic of a Wish

Make a wish upon an eyelash,

Think of someone’s well being,

Clear doubts; pray for someone’s health,

And make people your dear.

A wish it takes; to remember a loved one,

A wish it takes; to think of them,

A wish it takes; to talk to God,

A wish it takes to make dreams anew.

Let’s just chant a saying, a little prayer,

A little bit of blessing from the azulish heavens,

Call it superstition; or faith,

Or an idea; call it anything,

The magic of a wish is true, as it makes the day.

And here I gaze the morning dawn, worshipping the Sun, worshipping the

Nature; wishing that the surreal dreams remain true forever.
