Blind Eagle’s DedicationBy BlindEagleblindeagle@codeysworld.comCopyright © 2008 by BlindEagle. All rights reserved. |
I never had the kind of friend, who viewed things as I do, nor a friend that was loyal, blind and true. In my world where things are not as they seem, abides an untouched coloring book, with sticks of shade unknown to me. A feeling of uncompleted vibes overwhelms me, as the fear of the unknown once again invades me; yet far though near, I hear a voice gently saying, I am here. Closer and closer, the voice gains ground, and quickly envelops me into a web of care, saying, I have been here all along, watching out for what you cannot see. I am the bearer of truth and trust because I know there’s no other way you would rather be. The book of unseen directions that you longed to see, will now make you free. before I could reply to the voice I heard, gone was its warmth as if it were dead; just then in the twinkle of an eye, was a picture book blazing with bright colors that blinded me. No longer am I afraid of what I could not see, with eyes like an eagle, I’m flying free.
Thank you Codey, now be free.
I want to dedicate my very very first poem ever written to a brave person, who with a life that carried so much upon it, yet he was able to walk with his chin up and walk free.
