I Remember

I remember the first sight of you the many times I tried to gain your attention
But you didn’t have a clue

The day you moved in downstairs almost right under my apartment
How when I told my closest friends of you they thought I was being dishonest, not telling the truth

You had no idea what you did to me that day
You entered my world without question or delay
The time spent talking, laughing and walking through the park

Growing strong in love as it took root deep in our hearts
In times silent, there was no need for understanding
Gentle eyes transferred thoughts of our passion
Years have passed and grey hairs now show
