Am I Who I Am

It’s all just a sham
I act many parts
To be what I’m not
The wall I’ve built
Protects me from myself
The lies I tell
When I pretend to be
Other than who I am
Is a futile effort
To escape who I’ve become
Each time I am who I’m not
Destroys who I am bit by bit
It will come when the true me is gone
Has this been my goal all along
