Shooting Star
Poetry by Mikie ~ Edited by Ry
- Shooting Star, way up in the sky,
- Once was a boy, that didn't need to die.
-
- I knew you not, but now I cry,
- As you ride your dirt bike, over the sky.
-
- Jumping clouds, with angels wings,
- Laughing and giggling, and doing other things.
-
- Just a boy, of tender years,
- All I can give you, are my silent tears.
-
- I wish I knew you, I wish we were friends,
- But now you look over, as your new life begins,
- An angel guarding many, including new friends.
-
- Don't let them tell you, to lessen the noise,
- Don't let them say, Dirt bikes aren't toys,
- Because now you're in heaven, one of Gods favorite boys,
- Jumping the clouds, like regular boys.
-
- I just saw you jumping, over the moon and the stars,
- I just saw you jumping, over the clouds and then Mars,
- I just saw your skid mark, your new Shooting Star,
- Rest easy now Nick, your memories will go far.
