  6. Baseball
  7. Old men who've gone here
  8. 25 years
  9. with usuals.

  11. Is as beautiful as
  12. when the waitress,
  13. who works here everyday,
  14. asks if I want coffee, and I say,
  15. yes
  16. and she brings it
  17. plain,
  18. sweet,
  19. black,
  20. since 1956.
  21.  
  22. In a white heavy mug.
  23. No half-caf, Mocha-Frappe,
  24. whip cream, double-skim.
  25. Just simple talk about their lives,
  26. their workweek,
  27. their friends.
  28. their children who grow up,
  29. together
  30. and eat in an old diner
  31. Just like this one.
  32. all across America
  33. since 1956.
  34. It's Beautiful.
